Steroid hormones play vital roles in the regulation of a number of physiological processes (e.g., water and electrolyte balance). This class of steroid hormones is divided into five main categories: androgens (e.g., dihydrotestosterone, testosterone), glucocorticoids (e.g., androstenedione, deoxycortisol), mineralocorticoids (e.g., aldosterone), estrogens (e.g., estradiol, estrone), and progestogens (e.g., progesterone). Accurate quantification of steroid hormones is essential for basic and translational research and can be achieved by employing stable isotope-labeled steroid standards into liquid chromatography (LC-) or gas chromatography (GC-) mass spectrometry methods.

13C-Labeled Steroids and Hormones

CIL offers a multitude of 13C-labeled steroids and hormones for use as standards in MS-based scientific research. The standards span several classes (e.g., androgens, estrogens, glucocorticoids) and are available in different labeling patterns, as well as material formulations (as neat powder or concentrated solution).

Steroid Mixes

To help reduce sample prep time and increase quantitative efficiency, CIL offers stable isotope-labeled mixes of steroid standards. These dried-down mixes, available in 1 or 10 vial sets, have been carefully prepared and rigorously characterized to render precise concentrations upon solvent reconstitution.

Unlabeled Steroids and Hormones
