Fatty Acids and Lipids

CIL offers a diverse library of stable isotope-labeled (and unlabeled) fatty acids/lipids for use in lipidomic- or metabolism-focused studies. The standards are available individually (as free acids, sodium or potassium salts, and methyl or ethyl esters) or as multicomponent extract mixtures, with the material grade of research and/or microbiological and pyrogen tested (MPT). The isotopic enrichment and labeling pattern(s) are as specified in the product descriptions. Fatty Acids

CIL offers an array of fatty acids (FAs) for MS-based, ‘omics research. These are available in various labeling patterns (i.e., uniform, partial), forms (i.e., free acid, salt, ester), material grades (i.e., research, microbial and pyrogen tested), and compositions (in partially or uniformly labeled mixtures). The fatty acids cover saturated (e.g., myristic, palmitic, stearic) and unsaturated (e.g., palmitoleic, linoleic, oleic) classes.

Lipids

CIL offers an array of lipids for MS-based, ‘omics research. These are available in various labeling patterns (i.e., uniform, partial), forms (i.e., free acid, salt, ester), material grades (i.e., research, microbial and pyrogen tested), and compositions (in partially or uniformly labeled mixtures). The lipids include ceramides and phospholipids/lysophospholipids, as well as triacylglycerides and carnitine/acylcarnitines.

Mixed Fatty Acids and Triglycerides

CIL offers a few algal-derived mixed fatty acid and triglyceride extracts for MS-based ‘omics research. The algal mixes are uniformly (e.g., D98 tripalmitin, U-13C mixed fatty acids) or partially (e.g., 13C3 trioctanoin, 13C3 triolein) labeled and are available in research and/or microbiological/pyrogen tested (MPT) grades. The composition of the mixtures (i.e., number of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids) can vary from lot to lot. Please inquire for details.
